Open Call - Dossier 2023.2 - Until January 31, 2023

2022-07-11

Discussions related to the Teaching of History have been growing significantly in Brazil, driven by the expansion of graduate programs. It is also observed the strategic importance of this discussion for the quality of the teaching-learning process and for the very constitution of History as a science and school subject. The “didactics of History”, for decades understood from the reproductive or simplifying perspective of academic knowledge, goes through a broad process of repositioning that seeks to investigate it in its own language. Thus, the objective of the thematic Dossier “Teaching History: methodologies, approaches and practices” is to give visibility to the research growth on History in its configuration as a discipline. The aim is to contemplate studies on methodologies, approaches and practices that have been used in the school environment in different languages: oral, gestural, literary, textual, technological, imagery, as well as highlighting texts that foster discussions on History Teaching, Theories and Methodologies and Education, History of History Teaching, Curriculum, educational legislation, School Culture and Teacher Training, questioning the academicism present to a greater or lesser degree in the training of teaching professionals separated from the theoretical understanding of their profession as educators.
