Resumen

The teacher of History for the Elementary and Secondary Education has been a subject of concern and research for historians and educators throughout the last decades. This article is located, so in the sphere of contemporary research on teaching, more specifically the studies which deal with the initial training, knowledge and teaching practice. From the Oral History and memories of the history teachers of basic education, we seek to engage with research around the memory teaching and teacher training. In this sense, we, from the analysis of statements given by three teachers of history in the public São Gonçalo / RJ, reflect on the contribution of initial training for the constitution of "teacher knowledge" and the relationship between teachers establish their initial training and their teaching practice.
