BOSSUET: o rigor da realeza nos combates às rebeliões

Abstract

The events of the Fronde (1648-1653) and the threat that civil war represented the french absolutism persisted in memory of Bossuet. Thus, in his take  Politique des propres paroles de l'Ecriture Sainte, Bossuet claims that the chief should possess a strong army to quell the revolts of his subjects against them.
