Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyze the productions O homem da flor na boca (1950) andPega-Fogo (1950), both directed by Ziembinski through theatrical criticism written by Décio de AlmeidaPrado and published in the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo. It is seen from the critical assumptions thattheatrical analyzed the productions and the work of Ziembinski. Therefore, from the place of the socialhistorian, the study focuses on the texts of Décio de Almeida Prado,  to observe the formative role of criticism in this context, as well as  considerations relating to the techniques used by the director, attending to the historicity of writing and the performances.
