Abstract

In this paper, I will analyze the various defenses made by Mário de Andrade, in his literarywork, about the purpose of São Paulo Public Record Collection, created when he was appointed asdirector of culture of São Paulo city in 1935, and his ideal for nationalization of the music from folkelements of the Brasilian culture.
