Abstract

Population displacements are due to crises that require the adoption of public policies and constant reaffirmation of Human Rights and the values of citizenship. In Antiquity, Assyrian imperialism is one of the examples that allow us to observe the phenomenon of the migratory crisis. The Ancient Israel was one of the peoples submitted by the Assyrians to the exile. This article analyzes Assyrian imperialist policies from textual and material documentation and relates this documentation to the references to exile in the Hebrew Bible.
