Abstract

This text analyses the many ways the trade between the State of Maranhão and Pará andPortugal was examined by the different groups involved in it, both in the Court and in the region. Thistext focuses on the problems faced by the Atlantic trade which linked the State of Maranhão and Paráto the empire, as well as points out the specificities of its routes.
