Abstract

Abstract: In  this  article  we  focused  on  the  theme  of  social  formation  of  the  nation  state  in Mozambique, thinking about its current situation in the country and looking at how the Mozambican academy has responded to dynamic relations between society, history and politics. In our analysis, we address political speeches and nationalist narratives, as well as statements about the existence or non-existence of the  nation in Mozambique,  while  extending the  vision for the  post-colonial condition of independent African states.

Keywords: Mozambique. Nationalism. Nation-state.
