ENTRE A SELVA E AS ALTURAS: movimentos indígenas no México e na Bolívia

Abstract

This article analyses, on a comparative perspective, the movements Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional, from Mexico, and Movimiento Indígena Pachakuti, from Bolivia. The intention is to appreciate them on the contemporary context of emergence of ethinic movements like a response to topical capitalism modernization process, and show up the specific historical situations these movements derivated from, emphasizing common aspects and peculiarities in their speechs and political action.
