Abstract

The Mexican Revolution was one of the most significant events of contemporary history. Hatched before the First World War and the Russian revolution, this unique revolutionary process, which is on the threshold of its centennial celebration, continues with its history and its memory disputed by Mexican society. Within this context, this article aims to analyze the formation and characteristics of the dispute, undertaken by the government, social movements and political and cultural personalities who desire to be the bearers of history and of memory.
