QUESTÕES ITALIANAS: uma esquecida relação diplomática no final do século XIX

Abstract

This article looks into diplomacies relations between Brazil and Italy at the end of the nineteenth century, on the call Questões Italianas (Italian Questions), it focuses in the local newspapers at San Carlos-SP. The process and the social conflicts among Brazilians and Italians immigrants were common, and demonstrate the difficulties of building a new life. These show the newspapers like a historic document and attempts to preserve the culture from the country of origin, a way of facilitating integration with local society.
